Amman: Students from the Faculty of Media at Middle East University demonstrated remarkable excellence during their participation in a parliamentary simulation event organised by the German Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF) at the Mövenpick Dead Sea Hotel over the course of four days.
The objective of the event was to provide students with training in a range of aspects related to parliamentary and party work. This included the formation of parliamentary committees and blocs, as well as the election of the permanent office of the Council and the heads of committees, and the subsequent discussion and approval of laws.
The Director of the Media Training Center at the university, Dr. Saddam Al-Mashaqbeh, emphasised the university’s commitment to preparing a generation equipped with the tools necessary to engage effectively in political and programmatic work and to contribute to the promotion of values such as citizenship, respect for the constitution, and adherence to the rule of law.
The participating students, namely Ghadak Al-Afghani, Madeleine Tadros, Mohammed Katana, Abdulmajid Al-Damour, Mohammed Al-Adwan, and Abdeen Al-Dijani, effectively demonstrated their profound awareness and proficiency in parliamentary work, impressing the organisers and their fellow participants. This exemplifies the university’s vision and mission in supporting academic and practical excellence.
