Amman: His Royal Highness Prince Omar bin Faisal, President of the Jordanian E-Sports Federation, officially opened the ‘We Prepare Leaders with Leadership’ exhibition at Middle East University.
The exhibition, held under the auspices of His Highness, has been organised by the university’s Consultancy, Training, and Languages Centre in cooperation with the Promising Hands Association. The event involved the participation of university students, innovators, and entrepreneurs, with the objective of fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among young people.
Upon arrival, His Highness was welcomed by the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Ahmad Nasereddin; the President of the university, Prof. Salam Al-Mahadin; the Vice President of the University, Prof. Ahmad Al-Louzi; the Director of the Consultancy, Training, and Language Centre, Prof. Anis Al Mansour; the Director General of the Promising Hands Association, Mr. Azmi Shaheen; and a number of academic and administrative staff members.
His Highness was then provided with an explanation by a number of students about their projects, which relied on the application of technology in innovative ways. These projects included the designing of smart systems for water and energy management and applications based on artificial intelligence to improve health, education, and security services. His Highness praised these projects, showing that the students had absorbed technology and harnessed it to provide practical solutions to vital issues.
Concurrently, the ‘Discover Your Future’ workshop was held to provide students with the opportunity to explore their talents and develop their skills in several fields, including entrepreneurship, space science, cybersecurity, and digital content creation. This initiative, which was the first of its kind for students in collaboration with universities, was met with great enthusiasm. At the conclusion of the workshop, His Highness presented the participants with certificates of participation.
It is the case that Middle East University seeks to consolidate its dedication to its mission of producing leaders who are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to effect positive change in a variety of fields. This objective is pursued by the university through a series of events.
