Amman: Dr. Ansaf Al-Rabadi, a faculty member at the Faculty of Architecture and Design, presented a painting entitled “Gaza Guarnica” at her exhibition held in Bucharest on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. It is worth mentioning that Dr. Al-Rabadi is also a collection artist.

The exhibition was sponsored by the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Romania, Mr. Moataz Al-Khasawneh, and was attended by the Romanian Minister of Culture and the ambassadors of the following countries: Palestine, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia.

Defining the perspective of absolute support, the university continues to push the capabilities of its affiliates and invest in their knowledge and skills, proving that it is more than just an educational institution.

In this regard, Dr Al-Rabadi elucidated that each brushstroke in the painting conveys the narrative of Gaza, the ramifications of which are borne by those who are aligned with falsehood and those who are silent about the truth.

Furthermore, she posited that art is capable of embodying a multitude of meanings, including the experience of suffering. However, the suffering of Gaza necessitates a painting that is not merely an extension of existing forms; it requires a bold and innovative painting that engages the human senses in an immersive experience. This painting should depict the horrific genocide in Gaza and capture the symbolism of colours that represent the loss of rights, destiny, and justice.

Middle East University was founded in 2005 as a non-profit institution that offered 12 postgraduate programmes. At the beginning of the 2008/2009 academic year, MEU widened its academic selections and began offering undergraduate programmes in a variety of fields.
